St. Louis, Mo. - The SBU STUNT team traveled to Maryville University this past weekend, March 23 and March 24 for their first ever STUNT tournament. The teams in attendance were SBU, Maryville, Drury, and Lindenwood. On March 23 the Bearcats played Lindenwood Belleville first, falling in the last quarter by 1 point. The final score was Lindenwood 12, SBU 11. The next game featured Drury and SBU, with Drury coming out on top, 14-2.

In the second day of the tournament, SBU took on Drury once again, losing by a score of Drury 12, SBU 1. The fourth and final game for the Bearcats was a rematch against Lindenwood. Lindenwood took this game as well, 11-5.

"Overall the team played very well at their first ever STUNT the sport games," said head coach Kayla Duffey. "We placed 4th overall at the tournament and are excited to continue our season."

The Bearcats play at home in their next competition, hosting Maryville, Drury and Independence Community College on Saturday, March 30 with all games beginning at 12 PM.
