Arkadelphia, Ark. - The SBU bearcats finished their weekend strong with a 7-0 win over Mississippi college.
In doubles,
Max Sanoja and
Ferenc Agoston continued their strong performance and won 6-3 at court number #3. The Choctaws then quickly won the doubles match on court #2. The doubles point came down to court #1,
Gyorgy Agoston and
Nicholas Gilmore. SBU managed to win the deciding point and break their opponents at 6-5 to win the match 7-5. This match gave the Bearcats the lead 1-0 after doubles.
In singles,
Gyorgy Agoston clinched the first point by winning in straight in sets. On court four, Marcel Castello collected the third point for the Bearcats by winning 6-2, 6-2.
Raul Caballero and
Adham Gaber both had long fights against their opponents, however they both stayed focused and closed their matches. The last two points came by
David Szeri and
Carlos Corser on courts 5 and 6. The Bearcats closed their week with a strong performance.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, February 22 at 6 PM against Drury University in Springfield.
