Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats faced off against Westminster College and came out with a 51 point win. This pushes the Bearcats record into the positive at 2-1 (0-0 GLVC) on the season.
Alexus Johnson started out on fire going 6-7 from the field for 17 points in the first quarter. Southwest Baptist went on a run to start the 2nd quarter as well, extending the lead to as much as 21 before halftime.
Bailey Rezabek hat the hot hand as well, making 10 shots on 14 attempts for 24 points. Johnson created a big momentum booster with a crossover that sent her defender to the ground early in the third quarter. The Bearcats went on to outscore Westminster 31-17 in the third and then 26-8 in the fourth to finish the game with a score of 114-63.
Sydney Bandy also helped the cause with a career high 12 rebounds.
The Bearcats will travel to play Rogers State on November 20 at 6:00 PM.
