Bolivar, Mo. – GLVC opponents from just south of Bolivar visited SBU Tuesday evening in a mid-week conference match. The Bearcats had an excellent crowd supporting them, but the Panthers came out with the win, 3-1. SBU falls to 2-15 (0-5 GLVC) on the season.
 
Drury took the first set 25-13, but SBU fought back to win the second set 25-22. In the second set, the Bearcats took a commanding 9-2 lead early. Drury bounced back, but SBU kept pushing to get back up to a 21-14 lead. The score got to 23-22 SBU, and the Bearcats finished it off with a 25-22 set win. In the third set, Drury had a 21-14 lead late but SBU fought to make the final 25-19. The fourth set was also won with a score of 25-19, giving Drury the 3-1 win. Rebecca Rabius led both teams in kills with 14 and led SBU in digs with 16. Makenzie Bouse added another 38 assists to her season total, and freshman Sydney Ernsbarger led the team with 3 blocks.
 
The Bearcats continue their mid-week schedule with a match against Rockhurst on Thursday, October 10 at 7 PM.
