Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcat Volleyball team traveled to Shawnee, OK to take on Arkansas Tech and Southeastern Oklahoma State in the GAC/MIAA Crossover. Arkansas Tech took the first game 3-0 but the Bearcats snatched a victory over Southeastern State 3-1, improving their record to 3-8 on the season. 

In their match against Arkansas Tech, the Bearcats lost the first three sets by scores of 26-24, 25-13, and 25-19. Rachel Pfeifer led the attacks column for SBU with 8 and Greysen Roster collected 4 blocks. In the assists column, Makenzie Bouse totaled 25 and Bailey Baumann finished with 14 digs.

Taking on Southeastern State, Southwest Baptist lost the first set 25-17 and won the last three sets 25-23, 25-20, and 25-23. Kalyn Bitner finished with 11 attacks and 8 blocks in the match. Delanie Tipton also collected 8 blocks. Makenzie Bouse led both teams with 36 assists and Bailey Baumann led both teams with 28 digs.

Day two of the GAC/MIAA Crossover is Saturday, September 8th. The Bearcats play East Central at 12 PM and Oklahoma Baptist at 4 PM.
