Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats hosted #21 ranked FHSU Friday afternoon. The Tigers took the match by a score of 9-0. The loss brings SBU to 0-7 (0-1 MIAA) on the season.
FHSU struck first and early, scoring their first goal at the 3:40 mark. The Bearcats managed to defend FHSU's next three shots, but the fourth one found the back of the net, 2-0 Tigers. After a blocked shot, FHSU put another shot in the goal just a minute later.
Josh Peloquin attempted shots at the opposing goal, but one was blocked and the other fell wide. Fort Hays would score twice more before the end of the half, resulting in a 5-0 Tiger lead going into halftime.
The Tigers continued their momentum, scoring two more goals within the first five minutes of the second half. The second half was quiet for the Bearcats, not able to generate anything offensively. FHSU would score twice more before the end of the game, resulting in a 9-0 win for the Tigers.
