Edmond, Okla. - Along with Volleyball, Women's Soccer also traveled to UCO Friday evening. The Bearcats were defeated 6-1, bringing their record to 0-4-1 (0-1 MIAA).
Ashlyn Gibbs made a few saves as the game took off quickly. Eventually, UCO found the back of the net 10 minutes into the game, giving them a 1-0 lead. Just four minutes later the Bronchos made it 2-0 with another goal. Following the goal,
Raegan Edwards made a shot, but it resulted high of the goal. Gibbs made another quick four saves, keeping the score 2-0. The score would remain unchanged at the end of the half.
UCO struck first in the second, scoring two more goals in the first 5 minutes.
Tessa Wagner put the Bearcats on the board with a header at the 55:09 mark. SBU would not score again in the half, but the Bronchos would net another two, giving a final score of 6-1 in favor of UCO.
Ashlyn Gibbs finished the night with 9 saves.
