Kearney, NE - SBU Women's Tennis extended their winning streak to nine matches in a row by beating Nebraska Kearney 8-1.
In doubles, the Bearcats swept all three doubles and made the score 3-0 after doubles. In singles, Sarah Brown finished first by beating her opponent in two straight sets and gave SBU another point. Constanca Crespo won the decisive point by winning on court #4 in the third set after a marathon match. On court #1 and 2, Jill Van den Dungen and Klara Vickov added two more points to the Bearcats total score. The Lopers captured their sole point on court #3 by winning it in the third set tie breaker 10-6. Beatrix Federer grabbed the eighth point for the Bearcats after winning her long match 13-11 in the final set super tiebreaker.
Women's Tennis continues their road trip to face Fort Hays State Sunday, April 8 at 12:00 PM.
