Lincoln, Neb. - Southwest Baptist Men's Tennis beat Northwest Missouri State in the semifinals of the MIAA Championship 5-0 this morning.
In doubles, the Bearcats swept all three doubles and took the lead 3-0. Gyorgy Agoston/Ferenc Agoston finished first on court #1 with a score of 8-4, followed by Sherif Abohabaga/David Szeri with a score of 8-3, and finally Torben Semrau/Raul Caballero with a score of 8-6.
In singles, Abohabaga added another point to SBU by winning on court #1 in two straight sets and made SBU one point away from the victory. Gyorgy Agoston clinched his match by beating his opponent also in two straight sets and gave the Bearcats the victory.
Men's Tennis will play in the finals against the winner of Washburn and Nebraska Kearney on Wednesday, April 18th at 7 AM.
