Lincoln, Ne. - SBU Women's Tennis beat Nebraska Kearney in the Quarterfinals of the MIAA Championship 5-2 Monday night.
In doubles, the Bearcats managed to win court #1 and #2 but fell short and lost on court #3 making the score 2-1 SBU after doubles.
In singles, Jill Van den Dungen fought and came back from being down 0-3 in the first set to win her match 6-3, 6-2. Klara Vickov added another point for SBU, making the Bearcats one point away from winning the match. The Lopers mounted a rally by winning on court #2 in the third set but Sarah Brown clinched the match and gave SBU the victory.
Women's Tennis will play against Central Oklahoma Tuesday, April 17th in the semifinal at 6:00 PM.
