Indianapolis, Ind. - The Southwest Baptist Women's Tennis team utilized a great team performance to upset the #16 University of Indianapolis Greyhounds Wednesday night. 

SBU started off strong by claiming victories in doubles #2 and #3 but dropped Klara Vickov and Jill Van den Dungen dropped doubles #1 to the top ranked doubles team in the nation. After doubles, SBU held a 2-1 advantage. 

In singles #1 and #2, Van den Dungen and Vickov battled tough but came up short of winning their matches. Lucia Diaz helped the Bearcats bounce back with a 6-1, 6-2 win to tie the match at 3-3. The two teams split singles #5 and #6 with Sarah Brown winning singles #5 for SBU 6-2, 7-5. The match came down to singles #4. Constanca Crespo for SBU did not give in and won her third set 6-2 to clinch the match for SBU, 5-4.

The SBU Women's Tennis team will return to the court this weekend when they travel to Emporia State and Washburn.
