Bolivar, Mo - Men's Tennis captured their first victory at home by beating William Woods by a score of 7-2.

The Bearcats had a great start in doubles by winning on court one and three with a score of 8-2 on both doubles. After a long match on doubles #1, Gyorgy Agoston and Marcel Castillo fell short after losing in the tiebreakers 7-2. SBU led 2-1 after doubles. 

In singles, the Bearcats continued their strong performance by capturing singles #1, #2, and #5 in two straight sets to grab the five points needed to win this match. David Szeri added another point for the Bearcats by winning his match in the final set in a super tiebreaker 10-7. The Owls got their only point from singles #3.. The seventh and last point came from freshman Carlos Corser after beating in opponent in singles #6 10-5 in the third set. 

The Bearcats will be back in action at home on Saturday at 10:00 AM to play against Division I South Dakota State.
