St. Cloud, Mn. - Softball wrapped up their Minnesota road trip on Sunday against Minnesota State University-Mankato. SBU couldn't get it done against the Mavericks, losing by a final score of 3-0. The Bearcats are now 3-10 (0-0 MIAA) on the year with a lot of softball left to be played this season.

A fielder's choice and a fly out put an end to the inning. SBU started strong in the fourth inning thanks to a Lauren Strobel leadoff double, but she was stranded at second.
Southwest Baptist held their own defensively, keeping the Mavericks' lead to 1-0 heading into the seventh. Minnesota State led off the seventh with a triple to center field. Two runs would score due to two SBU errors, giving the Mavericks a 3-0 lead after seven.
