Arkadelphia, Ar. - Southwest Baptist got their first season victory against Harding by a final score of 9-0. 

Starting with the doubles, the twins on double number one saved a match point and came back. They ended their match by a close score 9-8 (8-6) in the tie breaker. Raul Caballero and Torben Semrau had an easy win on doubles two by a score of 8-4. Sherif Abohabaga and Carlos Corser got an important break at 3-3, which gave them the lead to win 8-6. SBU took the lead 3-0 after doubles and put them in a good position against the Bisons. 

In singles, Ferenc Agoston, Abohabaga, and Caballero had easy wins in their matches, which made the Bearcats to take the lead by 6-0. David Szeri was wining the first set 6-4  but he was behind in the second set by a break and a score of 5-3. He kept fighting back and ended this match by a final score of 6-4, 7-5. Semrau also won the first set and got broken in the second set but he could come back in this set. He played the final set tie breaker and played it very smart. He won the match by a final score in the tie breaker 10-1. Marcel Castillo had a tough second set but managed to get a break at 6-5 and won his match.
