Box Score
Bolivar, Mo. - The Bearcats hit a total of 16 three-pointers in a 102-58 win over NAIA school, Hannibal LaGrange. The win improves the Bearcats record to 3-6 (0-2 MIAA).

In the first quarter, SBU and the Trojans went back and forth trading basket after basket, as both teams came out the gates shooting over 50% in the first quarter. But what made the difference was the three-pointers by the Bearcats as they made six compared to only one by the Trojans. Right before the end of the first quarter, Madison Strong made one of those six threes which gave SBU a 30-22 lead after one quarter.

The second quarter was much different as SBU held Hannibal LaGrange to only 13 points whereas SBU scored 28 in the second and took a 58-35 lead going into halftime. At the half SBU was led by Bailey Rezabek and Madison Strong. Rezabek had 13 points while making two three-pointers and Strong added 12 points on four three-pointers. As a team, the Bearcats were shooting 65% from the field and had made nine of fifteen three-pointers for 60%.

In the third quarter, SBU continued the hot shooting as they hit four of their first five shots to help extend their lead to 69-43 at the first media timeout. From this point on the Bearcats would go on a 19-6 run to conclude the third quarter. This built an 86-45 lead heading into the final quarter.

In the fourth quarter is where the Bearcats set a new team record in three-pointers made in a game, as Brylee Graddy hit a three with 4:38 left in the game which also built the Bearcats lead to 100-50. The previous record was set in 2009 when SBU hit 15 threes at Missouri Southern. The Bearcats would only hit one more shot in the game, but the game was out of reach by then as the Bearcats won 102-58.

The Bearcats had five players in double-digits and were led by Caylee Richardson who scored 18 points, Rezabek and Strong both added 15 points, Laura Vierkant contributed 14, and Brylee Graddy chipped in 12 points. As a team, SBU shot 59% from the field while also shooting 48% from the three-point line. The Bearcats also forced 21 turnovers which resulted in 25 points.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Monday, December 17 at 1:30 PM as they host Avila University.
