Career High by Damian Prgomet Leads SBU to Third Straight Win

Bolivar, Mo. - Damian Prgomet scored 24 points and was one of six Bearcats in double figures in a 99-71 win over Williams Baptist. This win pushes the Bearcats record to 5-3 (1-0 MIAA).

SBU started off the game strong as they made their first four shots of the game two of which were threes SBU started off the game strong as they quickly went on a 9-1 run which caused Williams Baptist to take a quick timeout.

After the timeout, both teams traded baskets and Williams Baptist even took a one-point lead with 11:23 left in the first half but this would be the only time that the Eagles would lead in the entire game.
After that moment the Bearcats hot shooting in the first half would push their lead to 48-32 with two minutes remaining in the first half. And after some back and forth baskets in the last minute the SBU lead would be 12 as they had a 50-38 lead going into the locker room.

At halftime, the Bearcats were shooting 63% from the field while hitting 7 of 12 three-pointers in the first half. At the break, Chris Rossow and Prgomet lead SBU with 10 points each while Karim Mouliom grabbed 6 rebounds.

To start the second half the Bearcat shooting had not cooled off as they hit six of their first eight shots.

In fact, in the first five minutes of the second half, Prgomet scored on four of those six shots capitalizing on some nice passes from Godfrey Rolle, Chris Rossow, and Karim Mouliom all of which were scored by dunks.

During this five minute stretch of the game, the SBU lead would reach up to 21 points.

Williams Baptist would go on their own little run and cut the SBU lead to 15 points at 65-50 with fourteen minutes remaining in the game, this would be the closest that the Eagles would come for the remainder of the game as SBU would continue their hot shooting and pick up a 99-71 win.

Leading the way for the Bearcats was Prgomet with a career high 24 points and he was just 2 rebounds away from a double-double as he snagged down 8 rebounds. However, Prgomet was not the only Bearcat that was in double figures against the Eagles the Bearcats had five other players who added at least 10 points.

Godfrey Rolle tied his career high with 16 points, Quinn Nelson also tied his career high adding 15 points, Chris Rossow added 13 points while dishing out 7 assists, Connor Fuller tied his career high with 12 points and had a career high 5 assists, and Andy Campbell added 11 points.
