Bolivar, Mo. - The Men's Basketball team played at home Saturday afternoon, defeating Ecclesia College 105-52. The win improves SBU's record to 4-3 (1-0 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats came out hot, creating a 9-0 lead only 2:11 into the game,
Damian Prgomet responsible for 7 of those 9 points. Not letting up, SBU pushed their lead to 16 with 12:25 remaining in the first half, thanks to an
Andy Campbell layup from
Connor Fuller.Â
After an Ecclesia bucket,
Maris Colton nailed a three to give SBU a 23-6 lead. With 51 second left in the first half,
Karim Mouliom threw down a monster slam dunk on an alley-oop from
Chris Rossow, one of his five assists. The half finished with a score of 59-27 in favor of the Bearcats.Â
SBU continued their strong day, scoring first in the second half on a
Damian Prgomet layup.
Quinn Nelson would then hit back to back three pointers to extend the Bearcat lead. The Bearcats scored next on back to back to back dunks, the first from
Karim Mouliom, the second from
Damian Prgomet, and the third from
Quinn Nelson.Â
The Bearcats would go on to win big, 105-52.
Maris Colton scored a double-double, finishing with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Damian Prgomet played only 13 minutes but scored his game high 18 points in the win and collected 5 rebounds as well. Chris rossow had another 5 assist game in the win.
Adnan Jahic,
Quinn Nelson, and
Karim Mouliom also finished with double digit points.
The men's team will play again on Monday, December 3rd at 7 PM, taking on Williams Baptist in Bolivar.Â
