St. Charles, Mo. - The SBU Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Lindenwood for their second to last game of the season Friday evening. The Bearcats fell to the Lions in three sets, moving their record to 4-26 (0-17 MIAA) on the season.
The Lions won the first set by a score of 25-11. SBU had a brief lead in the second set and battled with LU, but the home team won the set 25-14. In the third set, the Bearcats trailed 1-10 at one point, but rallied back to get within 9-12, eventually finishing 25-16 in favor of Lindenwood. In the kills category,
Emily Thompson led the Bearcats with 7.
Makenzie Bouse finished with a team-high 14 assists. Seniors
Bailey Baumann and
Mikhaela Cochran recorded double digit digs, Baumann collecting 15 and Cochran collecting 10.
The Bearcats wrap up their season in Warrensburg with a match against Central Missouri Saturday, November 3rd at 3 PM.
