Springfield, Mo. – The SBU Men's Basketball team lost to Drury Tuesday evening by a score of 85-75. SBU now has a 1-2 (0-0 MIAA) record on the season.
Both teams played solid defense in the first half, not giving up a ton of points. Drury led most of the first half, but back-to-back 3 point shots from
Chris Rossow gave the Bearcats the lead 34-31 with 1:53 remaining. Drury answered back, but trailed 36-34 going into halftime.
Chris Rossow led both teams in points with 16 in the first half.
Drury took the lead early into the second half and never looked back. A score of 85-75 was the final in this highway 13 rivalry.
Chris Rossow finished with a career game-high 30 points to go along with his 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Also scoring double digits was
Connor Fuller (12), and
Karim Mouliom (11). Damiam Prgomet led the Bearcats in rebounds, hauling in 6 on the night.
As a team, SBU shot 22-55 from the field and 11-22 from 3-pt range.
SBU Men's Basketball will play again on Thursday, November 15 at 7:30 PM when they take on Ozark Christian College here at SBU.
