Bolivar, MO - Chris Rossow scored 14 points and was one of four players that put up double-digit points but the Bearcats fall for the first time this year 68-88.
SBU and East Central fought a tightly contested first half as teams traded baskets back and forth as the game was tied four times in the first half, but it was the Bearcats that had a 46-42 lead at halftime.
At halftime, the Bearcats hit six threes and three of them came by the hands of Andy Campbell who led the team at halftime with 11 points.
To start off the second half the Tigers and Bearcats would trade baskets and after a layup by Godfrey Rolle with 16:37 left in the game the Tigers would go on a run which gave them a 15 point lead with 11:14 left to go.
SBU was never able to trim the East Central lead to single digits and lost for the first time this year by a final score of 68-88.
The Bearcats were led by Rossow who scored 14 points, but also contributing double digits was Campbell with 11, and Karim Mouliom and Godfrey added 10 points for SBU.Â
As a team, the Bearcats still shot 47% from the field and shot 95% from the free-throw line.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Tuesday, November 13 at 7:45 PM as they take on the Drury Panthers in the annual Highway 13 Catfight, this game will be held at the O'Reilly Family Event Center.
