Bolivar, Mo. - Northeastern State, ranked #19, came out on top in the Men's Soccer match Sunday afternoon by a score of 5-1. The Bearcats move to 1-10 (0-4 MIAA) on the year.

Josh Peloquin was responsible for the first shot on goal in the match, booting one toward the goal 2:52 into the first half, but NSU made the save. The next shot didn't occur until the 16 minute mark, where NSU put a shot on goal that was saved by
Will vanHoornbeek. A little over two minutes later, the Riverhawks took a 3-0 lead coming from three goals within a minute and a half. Shortly after that,
Alberto Rodriguez took two shots back to back, both of them blocked by the Riverhawk defenders. At the 23:05 mark, NSU was awarded a penalty shot and the shot was successful, giving them a 4-0 lead. The rest of the period was quiet, NSU taking a 4-0 lead into halftime.

Similar to the first half,
Josh Peloquin came out firing, attempting a shot early with the result landing wide. NSU got off a few shots, but the SBU defense kept the score 4-0. After a long lightning delay, the Bearcats came out in an aggressive manner. Following a penalty,
Isaiah Waddy took a shot just outside of the penalty box and found the back of the net, bringing the score to 4-1 Riverhawks. NSU would score one more on a penalty shot to make the final score 5-1 in their favor.
