She also scored her 1000th career point in the game against Lindenwood.

The Coaches
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer is in her fourth season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU back to the MIAA Tournament in Kansas City for the first time in three years. Coach Keizer led the Bearcats to back-to-back winning seasons (16-14, 7-12 MIAA last year) in 2015-16 and 2016-17. A feat that had not been done since the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 54-50 and a 25-42 mark in the MIAA.

In 2017-18, Ayana McWilliams begins her second season as the head women's basketball coach at Lincoln University. In her first season with the program, McWilliams helped rebuild Lincoln into a postseason contender. The Blue Tigers swept Lindenwood, earned key victories over Northeastern State and Southwest Baptist, and just barely missed advancing to the MIAA Women's Basketball Championship on the final day of the regular season.

All-Time Series
SBU has the advantage in the all-time career meetings between the two schools, 29-10. Lincoln was victorious in their only matchup last season, winning 72-70.
