Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team hung tight with Central Oklahoma on Saturday evening, but fell 3-0 to the 10th ranked Bronchos.
The Bearcats trailed by only two points late in both the first and second sets, but would eventually fall 25-19, 25-19, and 25-15 to the visiting Bronchos.
SBU was led on the attack by
Emily Thompson who had a team high 8 kills, while
Dana Neal and
Mikhaela Cochran both chipped in 6 kills. Setter
Brea Freeman had a double-double with 20 assists to go along with 11 digs, while
Bailey Baumann had an impressive 23 digs in the loss.
The Bearcats will hit the road on Tuesday, September 26 when they travel to Missouri Southern to take on the Lions. Play is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. from Joplin, Missouri.
