Searcy, Ark. - The Southwest Baptist University men's soccer team fell 3-0 at the hands of Harding on Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Bearcats fall to 0-4 on the season.
The Bison and Bearcats were in a tight battle throughout the first half, as the two teams went into the break tied 0-0. Keeper
Matt Garza played a solid first half, collecting six saves during the period. In the second half Harding struck in the 54th minute to break the scoreless game. The Bison then added goals in the 67th and 74th minutes as SBU would eventually fall 3-0. Garza collected eight saves in the loss while
Jaydon Charles had a team high two shot attempts.
The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, September 22 when they travel to Fort Hays State for their MIAA opener. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. from Hays, Kansas.
