Tempe, Ariz. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team received strong recognition from the ITA with three athletes/coaches earning major regional honors from the organization.

Lani Tuemmers has been named the ITA Central Regional Most Improved Player (Senior). Tuemmers transitioned to the no. 2 singles and no. 1 doubles positions for her senior year, after playing at no. 5 singles during her junior campaign.

Sarah Brown earned the ITA Central Regional Rookie of the Year honor after earning 1st Team All-MIAA honors at no. 5 singles.

Fanni Varga has been named the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year after the women advanced to the NCAA Central Regional 2 Final. Varga also earned the honor on the men's side after helping the Bearcats back to the NCAA Final 16.
