SBU Baseball to Host Drury on Tuesday, Travel to Washburn over Weekend

- The Southwest Baptist University baseball team is set to host Drury on Tuesday before heading to Washburn for a three-game weekend series in SBU's return to MIAA action.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats return to action on Tuesday with a 21-9 (11-7 MIAA) record on the season and have won six straight MIAA games. Offensively SBU is led by Hunter Hisky who is leading the MIAA in average (.415) and doubles (15), while ranking 2nd in the MIAA in RBI (42) and slugging percentage (.737). Jovany Urbieta and Sean Murley both lead the Bearcats in homeruns with 6, while Caleb Sneed has a team leading 33 runs scored. On the mound Chance Wolfe is 5-0 with a 1.93 ERA to go along with 5 saves, while out of the rotation Drew Wagner holds a 3.57 ERA with 34 strikeouts across 40.1 innings.

Scouting the Panthers
Drury enters the game against Southwest Baptist 19-8 (6-2 GLVC) on the season. The Panthers are led by Ryan Colombo who is hitting a team high .417  with 28 runs scored while holding a 6-0 record and a 1.93 ERA on the mound. Nick Perkins is also hitting over .400 at .412 and Shane Benes leads the Panthers in doubles (6), triples (4), homeruns (9), and RBI (34).

Scouting the Ichabods
Washburn enters the week 19-12 (11-9 MIAA) on the season. The Ichabods are led offensively by Riley Krane who is hitting .331 with a team high 35 runs scored, 5 triples, 11 homeruns, and 43 RBI, with Tanner Triggs leading WU with a .360 batting average. On the mound Lance Barkley is 5-1 with a 3.63 ERA while Jacob Head is 4-2 with a 3.86 ERA.
