St. Joseph, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory at Missouri Western on Sunday. With the win the Bearcats improve to 14-2 (6-1 MIAA) on the season.
SBU opened up play with a sweep of the three doubles matches. In singles play, the Bearcats took 1-6 in straight sets with
Lara Soares,
Lani Tuemmers,
Lucia Diaz,
Klara Vickov,
Sarah Brown, and
Zorana Jovanovic all picked up wins as SBU cruised to the 9-0 victory.
The Bearcats will return to action on Thursday, April 7 when they host Nebraska-Kearney. Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from the
John Bryant Tennis Center in Bolivar.
