Bolivar, Mo. – The Southwest Baptist University baseball team fell 13-1 to Central Missouri in the opening game of a the three-game series on Tuesday. With the loss the Bearcats fall to 24-11 (14-8 MIAA) on the season.

Central Missouri jumped on top early, scoring a run in the top of the first before taking a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Sean Murley led the bottom of the sixth off by drawing a walk, and two batters later Jovany Urbieta tripled to right center to get the Bearcats on the board. However, in the end the Bearcats would fall 13-1 to the Mules.

SBU will be back in action on Thursday, April 13 when they host Northwest Missouri to open up a three-game series with the Bearcats. Opening pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. from Dodson Field in Bolivar.
