SBU Baseball to Drury for Bank of Bolivar Spring CatFight, Host FHSU on Thursday/Friday

Bolivar, Mo.
- The Southwest Baptist University baseball team is set to begin a busy week beginning with the Bank of Bolivar Spring Cat Fight game between SBU and Drury on Tuesday. The Bearcats will then return home to host Fort Hays State in a three game series spanning across Thursday and Friday.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off of a three-game series loss to Missouri Western and are now 9-6 (1-5 MIAA) on the season. Offensively SBU is led by Hunter Hisky and Jovany Urbieta who are both batting a team high .418. Urbieta leads the Bearcats in homeruns (4), runs batted in (23), and slugging percentage (.745) while Hisky leads the team in on base percentage (.484). Clint Jack leads the team in runs scored with 19. On the mound Chance Wolfe is 3-0 with a 2.57 ERA to go along with 2 saves, while out of the rotation Brian Womack holds a 6.75 ERA.

Scouting the Panthers
Drury comes into the game against Southwest Baptist 7-4 on the season. The Panthers are led offensively by Nic Perkins who is hitting a team high .422 on the season with 14 runs batted in. Shane Benes has hit a team high 4 homeruns, while Ryan Colombo has scored a team high 11 runs on the year. On the mound the Panthers are led by Colombo who is 3-0 with a 2.05 ERA, while Austin Simms is 2-0 with a 3.18 ERA.

Scouting the Tigers
Fort Hays State comes into the series against the Bearcats 7-10 (1-5 MIAA) on the season. The Tigers are led offensively by Dayton Pomeroy who is hitting a team high .350, and is one of only three Tigers to hit over .300 this season. Pomeroy and Trevor Hughes have both belted a team high 4 homeruns, while Hughes has also knocked in 16 runners on the season. On the mound Sam Capps is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 20 innings, while Clayton Basgall has a 1.69 ERA to go along with 3 saves.
