Springfield, Mo. - In SBU's return to MIAA action on Saturday, the Bearcats picked up a big 5-2 victory over #35 Washburn. With the win SBU improves to 9-1 (3-0 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats opened up play in doubles with a 2-1 lead after Gyorgy Agoston/Ferenc Agoston and Torben Semrau/Raul Cabalero both picked up 8-6 victories and #2 and #3 doubles. Sherif Abohabaga picked up a 6-3, 6-3 singles victory over the #28 ranked player in the NCAA, while Ferenc Agoston and Cabalero sealed the 5-2 team victory with wins at #2 and #4 singles.

SBU will return to action on Wednesday, March 29 when they host William Woods in non-conference competition. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from the John Bryant Tennis Complex in Bolivar.
