Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team fell at #10 Northeastern State on Sunday 6-3. With the loss SBU drops to 9-2 (2-1 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats fell behind early, trailing 3-0 after doubles play.
Lara Soares then picked up a straight sets victories over the #35 ranked singles player in the NCAA, as well as singles victories from
Lani Tuemmers and
Klara Vickov, but it wasn't enough as SBU fell 6-3.
SBU will return to action on Monday, March 20 when they host Emporia State. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from the
John Bryant Tennis Center.
