Tahlequah, Okla. - The Southwest Baptist University baseball team fell at Northeastern State on Sunday afternoon 12-2. With the loss the Bearcats fall to 14-8 (5-7 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats jumped out on top early, plating two runs in the top of the first inning. With one out in the inning,
Chance Wolfe doubled followed by a walk from
Hunter Hisky. Jovany Uribeta then doubled home Wolfe, followed by an rbi groundout from
Sean Murley as SBU took a 2-0 lead. However, the RiverHawks would plate 12 runs over the next seven innings as the Bearcats eventually fell 12-2.
SBU will return to action on Wednesday, March 22 when they travel to Truman State for a non-conference game against the Bulldogs. Opening pitch is set for 2:00 p.m. from Kirksville, Missouri.
