The Southwest Baptist University softball team will host William Jewell in a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon. First pitch for game one is set for 1 PM from the SBU Softball Field in Bolivar, Mo. 

Scouting The Bearcats

SBU comes into the games against William Jewell 14-6 on the season and are coming off of a split against Central Missouri last Friday. On offense SBU is led in batting average by Jaidyn Mawhinney who is hitting .421 on the season. Stormy Christerson and Megan Schellert are each hitting over .350 on the season. Christerson leads the Bearcats in RBI with 13 while 3 other Bearcats each have 10. In the circle for SBU Kacey Ayers-Evans leads the team in innings pitched (72.1), ERA (1.65), and strikeouts (66).

William Jewell comes into the contest against SBU 5-7 on the season and are coming off a split at Newman University. Offensively Jewell is led by Brooke Benard who leads the team in average (.486), hits (10), and RBI's (10). Emily Hoover is also hitting .400 on the season. In the circle for Jewell, Anna Biondo leads the Cardinals with a 2.31 ERA and has accounted for 32 strikeouts.
