Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team picked up an 8-1 victory over Lindenwood on Saturday in the MIAA opener for each team. With the win the Bearcats improve to 8-1 (1-0 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats kicked things off by sweeping all three doubles matches before taking five fo the six singles points. Lani Tuemmers, Lucia Diaz, Klara Vickov, Sarah Brown, and Beatrix Federer all picked up victories in singles play en route to the 8-1 victory.

SBU will return to action on Saturday, March 18 when they travel to Central Oklahoma for a match against the Bronchos. Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. from Edmond, Oklahoma.
