SBU Men Return Home to Host Missouri Southern on Thursday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist returns home for a pair of home games this week starting with Missouri Southern on Thursday.

The Coaches & The All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his third season on the SBU bench after compiling a 21-36 (11-30 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 203-137 across eleven seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Jeff Boschee begins his 3rd season as the head coach at Missouri Southern. Boschee holds a career coaching record of 38-23 all at MSSU.

Missouri Southern leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 53-42. The Lions picked up a 80-70 victory over the Bearcats last season in Bolivar.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats come into the game against Missouri Southern 12-10 (5-8 MIAA) and are coming off of a 71-61 loss at Central Oklahoma. SBU is led in scoring by Logan Hovey who is averaging 12.1 ppg, while Brian Patterson averages 10.4 ppg and a team high 5.5 65rpg.
