Game Notes

Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Softball team will continue their season this weekend when they take part in 8-State Classic in Bentonville, Arkansas. SBU's first game will be Friday, February 17th at 9:00 AM when they take on Rockhurst University.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats are coming off a 2-2 weekend at the Midwestern State Round Robin last weekend in Wichita Falls, Tx. The Bearcats hit.281 last weekend, while they scored 18 runs. Offensively SBU is lead by Megan Schellert who hit .538 last weekend and also had 5 RBIs. Jaidyn Mawhinney hit .455. On the mound for SBU Kacey Ayers-Evans picked up 2 wins last weekend and has an ERA of 1.17.

Scouting The Opponents

Rockhurst- The Hawks come into the weekend 3-3 and are hitting .248 on the season. The Rockhurst pitchers have combined for a 2.45 ERA. 
Ouachita Baptist- The Tigers are coming in with a record of 5-1 and are hitting .297 of the season. On the mound the Tigers have a combined ERA of 1.40.
Drury- This will be the first action of the season for the Panthers. 
Fort Hays State- The Tigers come into the weekend with a record of 1-4 but are hitting .315 as a team, FHSU has a 7.00 ERA to start the season.
Wayne State- This will open the 2017 season for the Wildcats.
Illinois-Springfield- The Prairie Stars will begin their season this weekend.
