Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist is set to host #10 Pittsburg State on Saturday as they kick off a stretch of two straight games against nationally ranked opponents.
The Coaches & The All-Time Series
SBU head coach
Kelsey Keizer in her third season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to their first winning season in 9 years (16-13, 11-11 MIAA) last season. The 11 MIAA wins also marks the second most conference wins in program history. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 27-31, including a 15-26 mark in the MIAA.
Lane Lord begins his 10th season as the head coach at Pittsburg State. Lord holds a career NCAA coaching record of 183-89.
Pittsburg State leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 33-25. The Gorillas claimed a 65-50 victory over the Bearcats last season in Bolivar.
Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats enter the game against Pittsburg State 14-9 (6-8 MIAA) and are coming off of a 70-60 victory over Missouri Sotuhern. SBU is led in scoring by
Megan Rosenbohm who is averaging 17.0 ppg while
Caylee Richardson averages 11.1 ppg, and a team high 7.3 rpg.
Alex Botkin dishes out a team high 3.1 apg, while
Aliyah Isaac averages 8.2 ppg and

The Gorillas are coming off of a 68-60 victory over #15 Central Missouri. Pittsburg State is led in scoring by Mikaela Burgess who averages 17.4 ppg, while Madison Northcutt averages 11.3 ppg and 8.3 rpg, and Shelby Lopez averages 10.0 ppg. Hadyn Herlocker averages 5.9 apg to go along with 8.0 ppg. As a team PSU shoots 44.5% from the field, 36.4% from beyond the arc, 67.2% from the line, and average 77.3 ppg.
