Box Score Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist men's basketball won handedly over Ecclesia College Thursday night. The final score was 108-46, and the victory pushes the Bearcats over .500 (4-3) for the first time this season.

The Bearcats came out firing on all cylinders as they scored 32 of the game's first 37 points. Marlon Alcindor nailed a trio of three pointers and added a jumper to lead the Bearcats in that stretch. By the 3:43 mark in the first half, SBU had pushed their lead out to 30 on five straight points from Matt Ridder. A three from Kai Woodfall at the buzzer extended the Southwest Baptist lead to 57-17 headed into the break.

The second half was much like the first half with SBU clicking in all phases of the game. A Cartier Dean three with 16:28 left made the SBU lead 72-20. Later a Jakob Partee three pointer and another three from Ridder stretched the lead to 96-31. Campbell Lakatos' layup with 3:52 on the clock helped the Bearcats reach the century mark fo the second time this season. The Bearcats would go on to a dominating 62 point win, 108-46.     

Junior guard Marlon Alcindor and senior forward Logan Hovey both had efficient nights for the Bearcats. Alcindor scored 20 points on 7-11 shooting from the field and nailed a career high six three pointers. Hovey poured in 17 points on 7-10 from the field in only 14 minutes of action. Matt Ridder knocked down three three pointers off the bench, which propelled him to being the other Bearcat in double figures with 11. Chris Rossow had his fourth 5+ assist game of the season with 5 assists, 8 points, and 4 rebounds. For the night, the Bearcats shot 60.3% from the floor, 51.9% from downtown, and 85.7% at the charity stripe. 

The Bearcats now have a week off before they open MIAA play when they travel to Edmond, Oklahoma to challenge the University of Central Oklahoma Bronchos. Tipoff is slated for 7:30 PM on December 7th.
