Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell to Emporia State on Friday afternoon 3-0. With the loss the Bearcats drop to 2-8-1 (0-4 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats and Hornets played a tight first half, as the two teams went into the break tied 0-0. The score remained tied until the 68th minute of action when ESU put up their first goal of the afternoon, and then added goals in the 79th and 90th minutes, as the Bearcats would eventually fall 3-0.
SBU will return to action on Sunday, October 8 when they host Washburn. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
