Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell 2-0 at the hands of Missouri Southern on Friday afternoon. With the loss the Bearcats drop to 3-12-2 (1-8-1 MIAA) on the season.
The game was tied 0-0 heading into the break, as neither team was able to get much going offensively. MSSU broke the scoreless game in the 53rd minute after getting fouled in the box and connecting on the penalty kick. The Lions added another goal in the 75th minute as Southwest Baptist would eventually fall 2-0.
The Beacarts will return to action on Sunday, October 29 for their final game of the 2017 season when they host Northeastern State. Play is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
