Bolivar, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University volleyball team got a double-double from
Dana Neal, and a near double-double from
Rachel Pfeifer, but fell to Missouri Southern 3-1 on Tuesday evening. With the loss the Bearcats drop to 2-24 (1-11 MIAA) on the season.
The Bearcats fell in the first set 25-13, but came back to take the second set 25-18. However, MSSU would claim the next two sets 25-14 and 25-21 as SBU would fall 3-1.
Dana Neal produced a double-double for SBU, collecting 11 kills to go along with 10 digs.
Rachel Pfeifer was one dig away from a double-double of her own, with 11 kills and 9 digs, while
Katie Robinson had a team high 12 kills with a .333 hitting percentage.
Brea Freeman handled the setties duties with 30 assists, while
Bailey Baumann had a team high 13 digs in the loss.
SBU will hit the road on Friday, October 27 when they travel to Pittsburg State. Play is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. from Pittsburg, Kansas.
