Kearney, Neb. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team earned their first point in the conference standings with a 0-0 tie against Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday afternoon. At the conclusion of the day, the Bearcats now stand at 2-10-2 (0-6-1 MIAA) on the season.
Neither team was able to get much going offensively through the 110 minutes, as neither team found the back of the net. Keeper
Ashlyn Gibbs had a strong performance for SBU, registering all 110 minutes will collecting 10 saves in her second career shutout.
The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, October 20 when they host Lindenwood to kick off a four-game homestand to close out the regular season. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
