Box Score Hays, Kan. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team had a strong effort at Fort Hays on Friday evening but came up just short in a 2-1 loss to the Tigers.
Fort Hays came out strong out of the gate, scoring the game's first goal in the fifth minute of play. The Bearcats answered back in the 12th minute of play when

Brooke Herald from the right side where she sent the ball into the left side of the net to tie the game at 1-1. The Tigers re-took the lead in the 33rd minute of play as SBU went into the break trailing 2-1. The defense buckled down in the second half as neither team was able to score as the Bearcats would eventually fall 2-1.
SBU will continue their road trip on Sunday, October 15 when they travel to Nebraska-Kearney. Play is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. from Kearney, Nebraska.
