St. Joseph, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's tennis team fell at Missouri Western on Sunday afternoon 1-0. With the loss the Bearcats drop to 2-7-1 (0-3 MIAA) on the season.

The Bearcats and Griffons were in a tight match throughout, as the two teams went into the break tied 0-0. Missouri Western came out in the second half and scored in the 49th minute of play, and the Bearcats were unable to answer as they would eventually fall 1-0.

SBU returns to action on Friday, October 6 when they host Emporia State. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
