SBU Women Look to Bounce Back at Lincoln on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist closes out their short two-game road trip when they travel to Lincoln on Saturday.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her third season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to their first winning season in 9 years (16-13, 11-11 MIAA) last season. The 11 MIAA wins also marks the second most conference wins in program history. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 27-31, including a 15-26 mark in the MIAA.

Ayana McWilliams begins her first season as the head coach at Lincoln. McWilliams came to Lincoln after serving as an assistant coach at Division I South Carolina Upstate.

Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Lincoln 29-11. The Bearcats picked up a 65-57 victory over Lincoln last season in Jefferson City.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats enter the game against Lincoln 11-6 (3-5 MIAA) and are coming off of a 70-68 loss at Lindenwood. SBU is led in scoring by Megan Rosenbohm who is averaging 15.3 ppg while Caylee Richardson averages 11.6 ppg, and a team high 7.1 rpg. Alex Botkin dishes out a team high 2.9 apg, while Mackenzie Skupa averages 8.5 ppg and Alyiah Isaac averages 8.2 ppg. As a team SBU shoots 47.0% from the field, 31.5% from beyond the arc, and averages 73.5 ppg.

Scouting the Blue Tigers
Lincoln enters the game against Southwest Baptist 2-14 (1-8 MIAA) on the season, and are coming off of a 66-41 loss to Central Missouri. Lincoln is led in scoring by Azaria Nave who averages 14.99 ppg. Hunter Yoakum is also in double-figures at 13.6 ppg to go along with 3.3 apg, while Erica Gibbons averages 12.1 ppg. As a team the Blue Tigers shoot 38.2% from the field, 29.0% from beyond the arc, and average 63.1 ppg.
