Bolivar, Mo. -Â Southwest Baptist will hit the road on Thursday when they travel to Lindenwood.
The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach
Kelsey Keizer in her third season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to their first winning season in 9 years (16-13, 11-11 MIAA) last season. The 11 MIAA wins also marks the second most conference wins in program history. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 27-31, including a 15-26 mark in the MIAA.
Tony Francis begins his seventh season as the head coach at Lindenwood. Francis holds a career coaching record of 75-93.
Southwest Baptist leads the all-time series against Lindenwood 6-3. The Bearcats claimed a 70-67 victory over the Lady Lions in their only meeting last season.
Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats enter the game against Lindenwood 11-5 (3-4 MIAA) and are coming off of a 79-72 loss to Northwest Missouri. SBU is led in scoring by
Megan Rosenbohm who is averaging 14.6 ppg while
Caylee Richardson averages 11.9 ppg, and a team high 7.0 rpg.
Alex Botkin dishes out a team high 2.9 apg, while
Mackenzie Skupa averages 8.9 ppg and Alyiah Isaac averages 8.5 ppg. As a team SBU shoots 47.2% from the field, 31.7% from beyond the arc, and averages 73.9 ppg.
Scouting the Lady Lions
Lindenwood enters the game against Southwest Baptist 6-9 (2-6 MIAA) on the season, and are coming off of a 78-69 loss at #5 Pittsburg State. Lindenwood is led in scoring and rebounding by Kallie Bildner who averages 14.2 ppg and 9.0 rpg, but hasn't appeared in a game since December 19. Gabby Walker also averages double-figures at 11.5 ppg, while Lindsay Medlen averages a team high 3.6 apg. As a team Lindenwood shoots 42.3% from the field, 23.7% from beyond the arc, and averages 67.4 ppg.
