SBU Men Continue MIAA Play at Lindenwood on Thursday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist will hit the road on Thursday when they travel to Lindenwood as part of a two game road trip.

The Coaches and the All-Time Series
SBU head coach Clark Sheehy begins his third season on the SBU bench after compiling a 21-36 (11-30 MIAA) record while at SBU. Coach Sheehy holds a career coaching record of 203-137 across eleven seasons while coaching six different All-Americans and over 20 athletes that have moved on to play professional basketball.

Lance Randall begins his 2nd season as the head coach at Lindenwood. Randall holds a career coaching record of 137-93 across eight seasons, including a 16-14 mark at Lindenwood.

Lindenwood leads the all-time series against Southwest Baptist 5-3. The Lions claimed a 68-47 victory over Southwest Baptist in their lone meeting last season.

Scouting the Bearcats
The Bearcats come into the game at Lindenwood 9-7 (2-5 MIAA) and are coming off of a 66-63 loss to Missouri Western. SBU is led in scoring by Logan Hovey is averaging 11.3 ppg, while Brian Patterson averages 11.1 ppg and a team high 6.2 rpg. Cartree Pettis leads the Bearcats in assists with 3.4 apg to go along with 7.6 ppg. SBU presents a balanced scoring attack with six players averaging over seven points a piece. SBU shoots 46.2% from the field, 36.0% from beyond the arc, and averages 74.0 ppg.

Scouting the Lions
Lindenwood comes into the game against Southwest Baptist 14-6 (4-4 MIAA) and are coming off of a 76-55 victory at Pittsburg State. Lindenwood is led in scoring by Chandler Diekvoss who averages 15.4 ppg, and is one of four lions in double-figures. Jackson Price averages 11.8 ppg, Dominique Dobbs 11.8 ppg, and Brenon Larson-Gulsvig 11.0 ppg. Dobbs pulls down a team high 8.1 rpg, while Adam Pohlman dishes out a team high 3.0 apg. The Lions shoot 46.1% from the field, 37.9% from beyond the arc, and average 76.7 ppg.
