SBU Women Look For Second Straight MIAA Win Against Northwest Missouri on Saturday

Bolivar, Mo. - Southwest Baptist is set to host Northwest Missouri on Saturday to close out their two-game homestand.

The Coaches
SBU head coach Kelsey Keizer in her third season on the Bearcat bench after leading SBU to their first winning season in 9 years (16-13, 11-11 MIAA) last season. The 11 MIAA wins also marks the second most conference wins in program history. Coach Keizer holds a career coaching record of 27-31, including a 15-26 mark in the MIAA.

Buck Scheel begins his first season as the head coach at Northwest Missouri after serving as interim head coach for 18 games last season. Scheel holds a career collegiate coaching record of 3-15

Scouting Southwest Baptist
The Bearcats enter the game against Northwest Missouri 11-4 (3-3 MIAA) and are coming off of a 76-69 victory over Missouri Western. SBU is led in scoring by Megan Rosenbohm who is averaging 14.6 ppg while Caylee Richardson averages 12.0 ppg, and a team high 7.1 rpg. Alex Botkin dishes out a team high 3.0 apg, while Mackenzie Skupa and Alyiah Isaac both average 8.5 ppg. As a team SBU is out-rebounding their opponents by 9.9 rebounds per game.

Scouting Northwest Missouri
Northwest Missouri enters the game against Southwest Baptist 5-9 (0-7 MIAA) on the season, and are coming off of a 66-42 loss at Central Missouri. NWMSU is led in scoring by Tanya Meyer who averages 20.6 ppg and a team high 9.7 rpg, while Jasmin Howe averages 14.3 ppg. Macy Williams averages a team high 4.7 apg.
