Springfield, Mo. - The Southwest Baptist University women's soccer team fell on the road in the final minutes at Drury on Tuesday evening 2-1. With the loss SBU drops to 0-3 on the season.
Drury jumped ahead in the sixth minute of play to take an early 1-0 lead before the Bearcats came back to tie the game at 1-1 in the 34th minute.
Averi Walker fed
Kennedy Strain from seven yards out before Strain hit the back of the net to tie the game at 1-1. The game would remain tied at one until the 87th minute when DU break the tie as the Bearcats would eventually fall 2-1.
SBU will return to action on Friday, September 16 when they host Missouri Southern in SBU's MIAA opener. Play is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. from the SBU Soccer Field in Bolivar.
