SBU Women's Soccer Hosts a Pair of MIAA Opponents this Week

Bolivar, Mo. -- SBU continues their five game homestand this week when they host Northwest Missouri on Thursday and Missouri Western on Saturday.

The Coaches
Megan Link will begin her second season as the head coach at Southwest Baptist and holds a career coaching record of 9-9 (6-4 MIAA).

Tracy Hoza is in his 14th season as the head coach at Northwest Missouri. Hoza holds a career coaching record of 85-128-30.

Chad Edwards is in his 5th year as the head coach at Missouri Western. Last year Edwards led MWSU to their first winning season in program history and holds a career coaching record of 30-49-6.

Northwest Missouri comes into the week 2-4-1 (0-1 MIAA) on the season after falling to Central Missouri 5-0 in their MIAA opener. NWMSU is led in points by Izzy Romano who has 2 goals and 3 assits, while Ashley Malloy has a 1.86 GAA in goal.

Scouting Missouri Western
Missouri Western comes into the week 5-3 (0-1 MIAA) and are coming off of a 3-2 MIAA opening loss to Lindenwood. The Griffons are led in goals by Bailey Dervin, who has 3 goals on the season, while in goal minutes are split between Paige Labadie (1.25 GAA) and Lexie Martin (1.39 GAA).

Southwest Baptist comes into the weekend 0-6 (0-1 MIAA) on the season after falling to Central Oklahoma 3-1 last week. Elin Hammar leads SBU with 2 goals and 1 assist, while in goal Laura Carpenter has a 3.33 GAA.
